Well this year Adam was quite popular on CES, but last year somebody won the award for best innovation: The My Ditto from Dane-Elec. It's a NAS (Network Attached Storrage device) . What makes it so special? Well it's a hard-disk, actually two hard-discs are possible (2nd one to copy the first: RAID 0-1) max 2x2T connected to your router by Ethernet-cable and actually NO software to install. Instead you get 2 USB-keys, that you just have to plug in a computer to get access to your hard disk with a password. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOUR COMPUTER IS LOCATED AT HOME OR AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD !!! As long as you have Internet-access, the key does the rest.
"But... won't that only work on a PC or a MAC ?!" Of course not, it was a "best innovation" winner remember ? It runs on pretty much any OS. Even on our Android devices! Simply get the FREE Android App and you'll be able to access the drives from your Adam, anywhere, anytime!
Now, can you imagine that when you're going on vacation and are taking lots of pictures, you'll be looking at them on your Adam PQi 3G ? But then you'll have the added luxury of immediately storing them safely on your hard-disk... at home! You simply have permanent access to all your media. Of course at home it backups all your computers connected to your router and supports VPN, Itunes, Ftp,....stream everything to your mediaplayer, XBOX or PS3. Only thing you'll have to get, is a decent 3G carrier subscription that won't make you bankrupt for when you don't have a normal wifi connection available. ;)So when put together with theAdam for outdoor use, I think we can truly speak of a very remarkable combination.
